DIY: UFO PLAY

While I was waiting for her coming home from school earlier today, I decided to make a toy to play with this noon. I was looking around the house, trying to find something to work with, I found these paper plate. Yeah, it is actually a stock I have since I own a small online based pastry and cake shop. So I took it and play with it. Wanna try to make it too? These are the steps.

What you need is basically only these three; paper plate, scissor and crayons.

It is pretty easy to make it too. Just cut round the middle of the plate.





Then draw or color the remaining plate just to make it pop.
 

And you are done! Let's play!


 You can make a pole from whatever at home. In my case, I saw this empty water galloon and use it as the hook or the pole for the UFO plate play.


And she's happy playing it after school! Yay!

Day 1 School Lunchbox

She woke up so early today and she woke up by herself. Got too excited to go to school I guess. Then she woke me up and said, she has to go to school. My baby is definitly growing up into a big girl!

So the part of the first day excitement was (of course) prepping the lunch box! Actually she went to school yesterday for an introduction. And I made her fave stir fry brocoli and eggs with rice but she said she needs her teacher to help her eat. So I decided to make this earlier today.


Bola Nasi Bayam
bahan: 
Nasi
Bayam
Bawang putih
Garam Merica
Mentega
Saus Tiram

Cara:
1. Tumis bawang putih dengan mentega hingga harum. Tambahkan bayam yang telah dicuci bersih. Bumbui dengan garam, merica dan saus tiram, aduk rata sampai matang lalu angkat.
2. Blender bayam sebentar hingga agak hancur (nggak perlu sampai halus biar tetep dapet tekstur).
3. Panaskan mentega di wajan, masukkan lagi bayam yang telah dihaluskan, lalu masukkan nasi. Aduk rata lalu matikan api.
4. Bentuk bulat nasi lalu sisihkan.

Fillet Ayam Goreng Tepung
bahan:
ayam fillet (bisa iris sendiri dari dada ayam)
garam, merica
terigu
telur

cara:
1. Marinate ayam dengan garam dan merica. 
2. Campur terigu dengan telur, garam, merica dan sedikit air sampai jadi adonan kental.
3. Celupkan ayam ke adonan lalu goreng hingga matang.

DIY: PUZZLE STICKS

One single fighting of a mom with no nanny or helper at home is how to keep the kids busy. Because once they are feeling bored of doing nothing, they will start grabbing, taking, playing, jumping, climbing, squeezing and literally doing everything with everything at the house. Like what I had yesterday when I was busy making some cake orders and forgot to give my baby girl something to do, then I just need around 20 minutes until I found out that my eyeliner were all over the wall. So, here I go, making this little new toy for her to play tomorrow.

how to make it:
1. Use cotton bud to draw your fave picture (choose the easy to recognize or some familiar picture for your kids)


2. Dry it. And it is ready to be puzzled!

Resep Sahur Praktis: Sup Merah

Bangun dini hari buat makan emang nggak selalu nikmat buat semua orang. Kalo aku personally lebih milih menu sahur yang berkuah dan segar biar nggak eneg. Sahur juga butuh menu yang nggak cuma bikin kenyang, tapi bergizi juga. Nah ini salah satu menu sahur kesukaan yang lagi-lagi nggak susah bikinnya dan segar! Btw, di saat nggak puasa, menu ini juga enak banget buat makan siang atau malem!



SUP MERAH
ala Bunga A. Rosvita

bahan:
Wortel, potong dadu atau bulat
Makaroni
Sosis, potong bulat tipis
Ayam (aku lebih suka sedikit dada ayam plus ceker buat dapetin kaldu yang aku mau)
Bawang putih, geprek dan cincang
Bawang bombay, iris tipis
Garam
Merica
Saus tomat, atau kalo lagi longgar bisa bikin pake tomat direbus dan diblender

cara membuat:
1. Rebus ayam buat dapetin kaldu (kalo buat sahur, rebus ayamnya bisa setelah tarawih sebelum tidur biar nggak buru-buru pas sahurnya). Masukkan makaroni saat ayam mulai hampir matang.
2. Tumis bawang bombay di tempat lain sampai pinggirnya kecoklatan. Lalu tambahkan bawang putih dan tumis sampai harum. Masukkan tumisan ke dalam kaldu.
3. Masukkan wortel dan sosis ke dalam kaldu. Bumbui dengan garam, merica dan saus tomat (atau blenderan tomat rebus). Biarkan sebentar sampai wortel matang lalu matikan api.
4. Sahurnya ready!

Pancake Praktis untuk Sarapan dan Bekal

Ini adalah resep pertama yang aku pelajari pas masih kecil. Resep dari ibu yang sering bawain bekal pancake atau crepes (kita bilang crepes untuk versi yang lebih tipisnya). My mom is a working mom yet she still managed to make some lunch box for us. Karena simple dan enak, resep ini sering banget aku bikin, nggak cuma buat sarapan atau bekal, tapi juga buat cemilan siang atau sore sejak masih tinggal sama ibu. Sekarang sih bikinnya iseng buat cemilan sendiri sama bayi yang beranjak abege. By the way, resep ini juga bisa dipraktekkin bareng anak lho walaupun mereka masih toddler karena super easy! So here we go,


Bahan:
2 cups terigu serba guna
1 gelas susu cair ( +1 gelas air kalo pengen adonan yang encer buat crepes)
2 sdm gula pasir
1/2 sdt garam
2 sdm mentega
1 butir telur

Cara membuat:
1. Lelehkan mentega dan dinginkan. Campur terigu, gula dan garam. Lalu buat sumur di tengah campuran terigu dan pecahkan telur.


2. Aduk adonan tepung dan telur perlahan sambil tuangkan susu sedikit demi sedikit sampai adonan tercampur rata.


3. Tuang mentega sedikit demi sedikit sambil aduk rata adonan. Masak di teflon dengan sedikit mentega per satu sendok sayur hingga adonan habis.


4. And it is done! Dimakan langsung udah enak lho, apalagi ditambah topping buah pisang atau strawberry dan sesendok nutella yang yummy!

DIY: KIDS FRIENDLY COLORFUL PAINT

To have some activities at home with your kids or toddler doesn't have to be expensive or complicated or so. I found this recipe somewhere to make a friendly paint to be used by kids. It is easy and cheap tho. Let's start!




You need:
1 cup of flour
2 cups of water
Food coloring

How to make it:
1. Mix flour and water. Stir it on a medium heat on the stove until it's kinda sticky and thick. Turn off the stove and cool it down.
2. Put on a smaller container and give different colors on each containers. Mix well. And it's ready to use!


Then I bought a white paper, the big one, as her canvas. So here she was...


Now she can play with colors and paintings without we need to worry much about the paint itself!

DIY: HOMEMADE PLAYDOUGH

Buying more and more playdough isn't good for our wallet tho, so I decided to make one at home with my baby girl. It turns out so easy and cheap! So here are the steps to make your own playdough at home. Don't forget to get your daughters or sons join the fun!




You need:
2 cups All purpose flour
1 cup salt
Water
Food coloring

How to make it:
1. Mix flour and salt, pour some water and mix the dough until it's form like one big non sticky dough.
2. Devide it to some part and give your fave colors to each of it. Blend it well. And voila! You've got your own playdough!



Now, lets play with the colorful dough!

Resep Sahur Praktis: Tumis Brokoli

Tiap hari bergelut sama masakan kadang bikin kita bingung pas Ramadhan mau masak apa buat menu sahur. Apalagi kalau kondisi kerja sampai malam, pasti pengennya masak sahur yang gampang dan cepet ya. Nah ini salah satu resep menu sahur yang mudah dimasak, nggak lama preparationnya dan enak disantap hangat pagi hari. Nggak pake galau lagi deh pas masak buat sahur!





TUMIS BROKOLI
Porsi: 3 orang

Bahan:
2 bonggol brokoli
100 gr jamur, potong tipis
150 gr ayam, potong dadu
2 siung bawang putih
Merica
Garam
Saus tiram

Cara membuat:
1. Potong brokoli lalu siram dengan air mendidih untuk menghilangkan ulat dan kotoran.
2. Panaskan sedikit minyak dengan api sedang. Tumis bawang putih sebentar lalu masukkan jamur. Tumis hingga harum.
3. Masukkan ayam dan aduk hingga ayam hampir matang.
4. Masukkan brokoli yang sudah ditiriskan, lalu sedikit garam, merica dan saus tiram secukupnya.
5. Beri air sesuai selera, matang dan angkat.

Note:
Kita juga bisa menambahkan larutan tepung agar kuah lebih kental. Tapi saya sendiri lebih suka kuah bening dan segar untuk menu sahur.
